Introduction: |
A native of Southeast Asia, lemongrass was introduced to the Western palate with the growing popularity of Thai cuisine. It has a delicate Meyer lemon taste, with slight hint of sweet ginger, and very aromatic floral fragrance. Smooth and fragrant when steeped as a simple cup of tea, soft mouthfeel and clean finish. Greatly uplifting, yet naturally caffeine free. We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using herbal teas, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any medications. |
Preparation Methods: |
Rinse tea cup and teapot with hot water. Use about 1 teaspoons for every 500ml of water. Infuse in hot water at 90°c (194°F) to 95°c (203°F) for 2 to 4 minutes for the first and second brewing. Gradually increase steeping time and temperature for subsequent brewing. Blends well with loose leaf green tea, white tea, rose buds, jasmine buds, chrysanthemum flowers, chrysanthemum buds, honeysuckle, peppermint leaf or sweet stevia for added sweetness.
