Shuixian Oolong Tea is one of the most well known oolongs. It is produced in many areas but the most famous one is the sort from Wuyi Mountain, northern Fujian Province, China.
The Waishan Light Roast Shuixian Oolong was made of the tealeaves harvested during the Winter (Mid Nov) so it was named as Sichun Shuixian, Sichun literally meaning" the Fourth Season" in Chinese (We Chinese see the Winter as "the Fourth Season of Every Year". The Sichun Shuixian Oolong has dark and curly leaves. Compared with other oolongs, the leaves of Sichun Shuixian Oolong are much larger. The brewed tea infusion is clear and orange-brown in color. It has the orchid aroma, which may linger in the mouth for a long time. |
