Anji Baicha, or An Ji White Tea (in English), Anji refers to the place where it is grown: Anji county of Zhejiang province. Because of its Chinese name, Anji baicha is sometimes called as "white tea", but, classified by its production process, it is a green tea, not a white tea. The term white refers to the whitish color of the leaves, and the pale color of the brewed tea.
The Mingqian Anji Baicha is picked around two days before Qingming(5th April) in Anji county. The leaves are slender, delicate and a bright vivid green, the scent has notes of citrus and nuts, and the taste is a complex mix of tangy fresh and creamy soft. The liquor is a lively pale green with the bright clarity of a classic high-grown mountain tea.
